One of a family's
greatest pleasures may be sitting down together to share a meal. But for
people struggling with eating disorders, the meal may be a challenge. How
do parents cope when food becomes their child's enemy? What can other
students do to help a friend who is struggling with an eating disorder?
During this edition of
Spotlight, host and PCN Director Darcy Jensen visits with
Avera McKennan Behavioral
Health's Sara Bennetts, MSW. CSW-PIP, CDCT, QMHP, about
eating disorders and the dangers they pose.
Students from Washington High School, under the advisement of
Jenn Atkinson, PVPS S.A.F.E.
Prevention Counselor, perform skits
about the topic, and then join the discussion.
