Prairie View Prevention Services, Inc. is seeking Alcohol and Drug Prevention counselors to work in the Sioux Falls School District. Currently, we have one middle school position available.

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in a human services related field and be certified as either a Prevention Specialist, CCDCII or III, or able to obtain trainee status.

Primary responsibilities for these positions include working with youth with a wide range of issues from prevention to chemical dependency, individual counseling sessions, facilitating classroom presentations about drugs and alcohol, moderating prevention group sessions, performing alcohol and drug screenings/assessments and facilitating prevention activities.

These positions are 12-month, renewable contract with ten weeks off in the summer and all school holidays off. Salary starts at $23,700+ depending on experience.
