A major part of PVPS work takes
place
in schools around the area. The S.A.F.E. (Student Assistance and Family
Education) Program provides certified counselors and prevention specialists who
work within school buildings, providing easy access for students, teachers and
parents.
Counselors at middle and high
schools in Sioux Falls and Lincoln County are available for students
to drop in and share their concerns - whether they are worried about substance
abuse, peer relationships, or family issues. Counselors also facilitate
individual, group and family sessions to help people deal with alcohol or other
drug issues they are facing.
