  • I Didn't Know! or call 1-800-738-2301 for information on qualifying for assistance to help with medical expenses throughout a pregnancy.

  • Women Infant and Children Program (WIC)

         Help through pregnancy and early parenting

  • Bright Start  (1-800-305-3064)Specially trained nurses work through the home visitation program, offering a wide variety of support, education, and resources. For families with children up through three years old.  
  • New Start (357-0982) Through Volunteers of America-Dakotas, New Start for Adolescents is for pregnant girls age 12-18, or for those who are already mothers. Program offers parenting and child care training, employment skills, health and nutrition information and more.
  • Mentor Mom Program (334-1632) Through Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sioux Empire.  This program matches women who are pregnant or parenting a young child with a more experienced mother who helps provide support, education and friendship to the young mom.
  • Teddy Bear Den (335-2730) Providing referrals, education and incentives to pregnant women, new parents and their families.  Registered participants earns 'Teddy Credits'   by seeking a healthy lifestyle.  Points are redeemed for new baby items.
