S.A.F.E. Student Assistance and Family Education
The S.A.F.E.© Program is offered within schools, providing easier access to services. Counselors are available at middle and high schools in Sioux Falls and Lincoln County for students to drop in and share their concerns. Counselors also facilitate individual, group and family sessions to help them cope with alcohol or other drug issues they face.
S.A.F.E.© also offers drug and alcohol screenings, tobacco screenings, assessments, referrals and after-care for students following treatment. S.A.F.E.© is staffed by Prevention Specialists, Certified Chemical Dependency Counselors and Family Therapists.
Many PVPS Prevention counselors also work with school activity groups. Please visit "SERVICES" page to find out more.
